Tanja Liedtke Foundation will present for the second time the Tanja Liedtke Scholarship at "Choreography 31" Hanover. Garry Stewart, Director of ADT will be in the jury and select the winner to go to ADT Australia.

The Ballet Society Hannover e.V. has been organising this unique European contest for choreographers for the past 30 years. Testament to the importance of this event in the International dance-scene is not only the renowned jury, but also the fact, that every year approximately 160 choreographers from 45 nations apply.

Tanz Medial in Leipzig

TLF together with Dachverband Tanz Deutschland

On May 22nd/23rd, we had the third and last Forum for "Tanz Medial" in Leipzig. Kurt and Gerlinde enjoyed the presentation very much.

It was well received by a large audience. We started on Monday 22.05. in the Loft - Das Theater in Leipzig where Dachverband Tanz Deutschland  organised a showing of different Dance Films followed by the discussion "Dance critics without Video" is that still possible? In the evening we went to the Oper Leipzig where Michael Freundt from Dachverband Tanz Deutschland held another discussion roundtable called "The power of the pictures" with three prominent choreographers Heike Hennig, Irina Pauls und Mario Schröder.

On May 23. the discussion roundatbles continued in the Oper LEIPZIG with the main themes - the potential of 3D and Virtual Reality used in Choreography. During a visit of the Media City Ateliers media specialists informed about future trends of the technology.

The Forum finished with a final discussion roundtable about the previous two days.

Deutschlandstipendium at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst (HfMDK) in Frankfurt

May 23rd, in the evening Gerlinde visitied the HfMDK in Frankfurt to receive the certificate  for the Deutschlandstipendium for Lena Paetsch. The evening began with an introduction of the President of the Hochschule Christopher Brandt followed by a tour of the institution. Each sector of the institution was nicely explained by a student. In the main hall we were shown a wonderful presentation with dance and music showcasing the capabilities of the students. We then watched TLF Stipendiat Lena dancing an impressive routine choreographed by herself.

Seeing how she progresses so well, we would want to commit TLF for a second year with the Stipendium.
