Residency at Chunky Move

Chunky Move presented the work GARABARI of Joel Bray Dance at the Arts House in Melbourne which was supported by a residency of the Tanja Liedtke Foundation at Chunky Move. We were very lucky to attend the first performance.
The show on an open stage is about Joel Bray, his family and the cultural life of the community, Wagga-Wagga and how the mighty Marrambidja floods offer cod and lobster to the Wiradjuri Country people.

The Tanja Liedtke Foundation is glad, that the support helped Joel to develop his art. He wrote:

Happy New Year!
Thank you so much for coming to the show and for your warm words. Also, thank-you so much for your support of me as Choreographer-in-Residence over the past two years. I can’t tell you how wonderful it was to be able to commit time to the creative research and to the community building. Your support was instrumental in the success of this project, so a big big thank-you!!!

A big Mandang Guwu (Thank-you),
Joel
